 About DoctorsFirm

Built by Doctors. Designed to Advocate for Doctors.

DoctorsFirm helps physicians navigate the high-stakes decisions medicine never trained them for, from contracts and compensation to career moves, financial complexity, and major life transitions.

We were created by physicians who understand the pressure of modern medicine firsthand and built to give doctors something they rarely have: trusted advocacy grounded in real clinical understanding.

our origin

Why DoctorsFirm Exists

Doctors are expected to perform under pressure everywhere, not just at work. But when a physician is reviewing a contract, weighing a move, managing legal or financial pressure, or carrying strain at home, the answer is too often: figure it out yourself.
DoctorsFirm exists to change that. We built this firm to give physicians a trusted source of advocacy, coordination, and clarity for decisions that are too important to leave to chance.
That is why every doctor who comes to us is paired with a doctor-agent, a practicing or experienced physician who has navigated the same pressures, and who takes responsibility for coordinating everything you need.

What We Help With

The decisions doctors bring to us Physicians come to DoctorsFirm when the stakes are high and the path forward is unclear. Our role is not to add noise. It is to help physicians get clarity, align the right expertise, and make decisions that protect both their careers and their lives.

Board-certified neurosurgeon and physician leader focused on helping doctors navigate the decisions that shape their careers and lives.

Dr. Nanney founded DoctorsFirm after seeing how often physicians were expected to manage high-stakes professional and personal decisions without real advocacy. His mission is to build the kind of trusted support system many doctors wish they had much earlier in their careers.

Her husband is also a full time Urologist in town. Having navigated being a two doctor household, in addition to the typical pressures of also being a mom, wife and business owner, she believes in what the Doctors Firm is able to provide. From buying a house, to help with contract negotiations, finding a financial planner, paying off loans, and handling negotiations related to medical leave, she can look back over her 10 years in practice and visualize where the Doctors Firm could have been a key ally in these issues and more. She has a passion for being a doctor, while not losing yourself or your family to the profession. Angie acutely understands the stressors that are placed on us in the professional setting, and understands that personal demands don’t go away just because you are a busy doctor. Her goal in being involved with Doctors Firm is to given doctors easily accessible resources that allow them to advocate for themselves, while having sound advisors in all aspects of life. This, in turn, allows them to focus on their family and patients. As doctors, our extensive training teaches us to put ourselves last. Angie believes that when we take care of ourselves and our families personally, we are better able to tackle the professional demands places on us daily. With Doctors Firm, that becomes a little bit easier.

What doctors say about working with us

“For the first time in my career, I felt like someone was truly advocating for me—not just giving advice, but standing on my side. I didn’t have to second-guess decisions or worry about missing something important. I finally felt supported as a physician, not treated like a transaction.”

“This experience gave me back time and peace of mind I didn’t realize I had lost. Instead of juggling advisors, contracts, and decisions between shifts, I could focus on my patients and my life, knowing someone competent was handling the rest.”

“What surprised me most was how quickly they understood what actually mattered. I didn’t have to explain medicine, the pressures, or the realities of the job—they already knew. That alone removed a huge mental burden and made every conversation feel efficient and aligned.”
